Workshop on Advanced Weather Radars and Sensors for Aviation Weather Surveillance

Weather has always been of important concern for aviation. During the last three decades, rapid progress have been made in understanding and remote sensing atmospheric phenomena that are significant from the aviation point of view.

Today Doppler weather radars and integrated meteorological sensors systems play an essential role in improving flight safety and air traffic management.
Based on the progress of modern aviation weather surveillance systems, AMS - Gematronik offers a three days

"Workshop on Advanced Weather Radars and Sensors for Aviation Weather Surveillance".

The workshop will be held on June 22nd - 24th 2004 at the Dorint Hotel Am Rosengarten, Neuss, Germany.

The goal of our Workshop is to provide training to radar users who are new to these systems, or who would like to improve their skills and understanding of Doppler weather radar for aviation weather surveillance. The Workshop would also be valuable for potential customers who are evaluating the applicability of Doppler weather radar in meeting their future needs in radar meteorology for aviation AMS -Gematronik will present its news radar meteorological software Rainbow 5.0, the most comprehensive state-of-the-art sensor management system available on the market today.

For organizational purposes of our Workshop, an early reply is highly appreciated. We would welcome your positive reply until to the 31st May, 2004. Please note that the number of participants to the Workshop is limited. Please contact Gabriele Kadner at +49-2137-782 405 or via e-mail g.kadner@gematronik.com
