Selex Systems Integration signs a contract with the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service Enterprise – UkSATSE for the supply of a mobile weather radar

Selex Systems Integration GmbH recently signed a contract to supply a mobile dual-polarized METEOR 50DX weather radar to the Air Traffic Service Enterprise (UkSATSE).

The contract involves the delivery of a state-of-the-art dual polarized X-Band radar installed on a trailer with special meteorological software Rainbow. The new radar system is part of the public modernization programs in preparation to the European Football championship in 2012. The new mobile weather radar system supplements the weather radar network of four stationary weather radar systems already installed by Selex SI and supports airspace safety for en-route and terminal control with regard to weather-dependent hazards and delays.
