AMS - Gematronik steps into Australian market
AMS - Gematronik has recently been selected to supply 4 S-Band Klystron Systems for the Bureau of Meteorology of Australia. According to the contract, AMS - Gematronik will supply the latest version of its high-performance METEOR 1500 S-Band Klystron systems. The systems shall be installed in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
Claudius Marschalik, Marketing Manager of AMS - Gematronik, says: "For us, the Australian project is a major international market breakthrough in the region, as for more than 30 years the Australian continent has been exclusively supplied by our competitors. We are very proud to be awarded this contract and we are looking forward to our co-operation with the Bureau of Meteorology."
The weather radar systems shall provide high resolution weather data for early warning of severe thunderstorms and flood forecasting. The METEOR 1500 S-Band Klystron systems shall feature 8.5 meter parabolic antennas and the latest version of AMS - Gematronik's digital receiver and signal processor.
