SELEX-Gematronik as Premier Sponsor at 33rd International Conference on Radar Meteorology in Cairns

SELEX-Gematronik is proud to have acted as a premier sponsor in the 33rd International Conference on Radar Meteorology held in Cairns, Australia, 6th - 10th of August 2007.
At the event, we presented the latest generation of our C- and S-Band dual polarization weather radar systems of the METEOR 600/1600 series. Furthermore, information on our METEOR 50DX mobile dual polarization radar was strongly requested during exhibition hours, and the presentation of excellent quality dual polarization data from this X-Band system during the Poster session found special interest and favour among the conference participants.

A most memorable social highlight was the AMS Award Conference Banquet, exclusively sponsored by SELEX-Gematronik, where Prof. Isztar Zawadzki (McGill University) was awarded the 2006 AMS Remote Sensing Prize, and where Prof. Chris Collier (TIES University of Salford) held an entertaining speech, contemplating the radar world from a different angle.
